Toro y Moi into Kate Bush into Memory Tapes
Chewing my garden salsa sun chips to the beat of “Elise”
“Constant Surprises” by Little Dragon
Am I alone in thinking that Yukimi Nagano sometimes sounds almost eerily like Erykah Badu, particularly on the band’s first album???
Discovered a terrific new place for sushi and other miscellaneous Japanese delights last night while out with friends on South Street. Philly people take note.
It’s called 5 n 2 Tokyo
Excellent rolls (and a great 5 roll special)
Very reasonable prices
It’s BYO and they deliver (!!!)
Just wanted to share. Few things make me happier than discovering good sushi :)
Here’s their website.
RJ and I were in my bedroom (not really my bedroom but my bedroom in the dream) being treated to an exclusive speech/presentation/whatever by Maggie Gallagher. Yes, that Maggie Gallagher.
Her anti-gay schtick was even more nonsensical than I imagined. Perhaps it’s pretty close to what she’s actually like off camera. She used made up words like finochromatically! After the presentation (which was done via that old transparency projector that teachers used to use in elementary school), RJ and I retreated to another separate bedroom that more closely resembled my own and laughed, remembering that we were double agents trying to cover the presentation for The Daily Show.
Also, my apartment only had those two bedrooms. And a basement with an arcade and viewing room.
“Oh My God” by Cults into “Shared Piano” by Sun Airway
Had a very soothing, cleansing feel that went with my post-gym shower rather nicely.
Now it’s time for sushi!
and no one thought it would be a good idea to make it possible to delete multiple messages at once?
I’m not coming back. EVER.
I can appreciate that you miss me and that we did in fact have some great times together for a while, but that honeymoon phase is long gone. I couldn’t rely on you for what I needed and then you closed yourself off to me in ways that really hurt my feelings.
You need to understand this and move on. Stop embarrassing yourself with your offers of free months and extra downloads. It only makes you look desperate. I’ll try my best to hold onto our good memories together and speak highly of you to others, but this clingy, stagnant thing you’re becoming is making that very very hard.
It’s over.
I work at an interactive agency in downtown Philadelphia. My official title has been “Content Coordinator,” which means I spend a lot of time reading and editing copy for websites, and testing websites in general to make sure that whatever is on them works and displays properly.
Gotten to be a little less than fulfilling though, which is why I’ve started branching out and looking for other opportunities. Of course at the same time, it’s looking like I might start getting more responsibilities around here that might be better tailored to my talents and experience.
Television Without Pity is no longer covering it.
Sad panda.
Nancy Bowtin vs. Georgina Spark!
Or Dawn Summers if you prefer.
Or even Harriet the Spy.
Who cares? Can’t wait!
Mama got her awesome back on in a big way.
This song single-handedly redeems her for Volta.

Another better question may be who inspired who?
They revealed the line-up for Virgin Fest and the headliner was Blink 182.
Blink. 182.
Yeah. Pretty bad. The festival was also magically stretched out to last to two days and had Beyonce and Zola Jesus playing it.
The sun is either very angry or very happy today, my friends.
Either way, NOT feeling it.
“I know I should be happier now than I’ve ever been.”
Something about this lyric is so beautifully devastating and exhilarating at the same time, especially when set to this killer beat.
Also, this song really makes me miss Curve.
